Sacramento Home Sales Report for January 2008

Sacramento Home BuyersReal Estate is alive and kicking! Homes are selling. New Homeowners are thrilled with their new houses. Sellers have sold their home, moved to new houses, moved across the State and some relocating.

Life pretty much is going forward. For those that have good credit, there are excellent mortgage loans with fantastic interest rates.

The Real Estate Market statistics (which means the numbers of houses for sale, houses that received an accepted offer by both the home buyer and the Seller as well as the number of homes sold) throughout Sacramento county for January 2008 are ready to view.

The numbers on the chart are by zip code and show the number of homes sold in each of the zip codes as well as the average home price for each zip code.

Tip: This month, the County Assessors office will be lowering County taxes for those whose home value has decreased. It is important to contact the tax assessor to obtain this reduction in your taxes. It will not be done automatically. If you need verification of the reduction in price for your area, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Home Sales for Placer County

Placer County Home SalesHave you been wondering what the Real Estate Market for Placer County looks like?

 

Here is a graph of the homes sold in Placer County from October 2006 through August 2007.

The bar graph as well as the stats are always residential houses sold, only.  Not that far off in terms of sold houses…in fact it looks like Placer County is holding its own. Below, I will expound on the average costs of sold homes for the whole of Placer County.

Of course, when you look at the number of homes for sale (2,799) and then take a look at the number of sold homes (315), it’s petty devastating. Way too many houses on the market. Frankly, if you don’t have to sell, you shouldn’t be on the market right now, in my opinion.

If you click on the graph above, you can see the Real Estate market stats for each City in Placer County that I sell homes in, with their market stats. So, if you are thinking of buying a home in Placer County and thinking of relocating or simply want to check as a homeowner what the stats are for your neighborhood, it is available for you each month.

In the past my stats have only included the sellers who put their homes for sale from the beginning of that particular month and not the homes that rolled over from the previous month(s) that did not sell. However, from now on, I will give you a truer picture of just how many homes are for sale all together.

Sacramento Home Sales Report for May 2007

Each city/community in Sacramento County can be viewed for homes for sale, homes that accepted a contract and homes sold. Average prices for each of the Sacramento County areas is provided by clicking and viewing the Sacramento County stats.  

As an overview of Sacramento County, it is important to know how to read the criteria. The numbers are strictly for the month of May, 2007. However, the chart above is an illustration and comparison during a 3 month period, March, April and May 2007.

As you can see more homes were for sale in the month of May, many more went into Pending Sale in May than the previous months and their was a slight increase in sold homes in May for the Sacramento County. Here are the numbers just in case you aren’t a graph person.
