Sacramento, Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin and Auburn have sent fire trucks and teams to help our Southern California neighbors with the horrendous fires they are enduring.
The National Guard sent 1,500 today with another 1500 soon to be sent from the Sacramento area.
Police teams have also been sent to help relieve and keep Real Estate in check and looters away. Some of our finest will be assisting other departments with all emergency and relief help.
Rancho Cordova is where the emergency command center is and they are organizing teams of emergency help to Southern California.
With over ONE MILLION of our California neighbors forced to evacuate their home and 1500 homes lost, many have gone to friends, family and to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego to seek refuge.
The Reverse 911 call has been instrumental during the evacuation process in Southern California during this hectic time of determining who to evacuate and when.

City Officials have had a good vision while planning an ever growing City such as Roseville. Be sure to check out the City of Roseville website which is extremely helpful for those thinking of relocating, home buyers new to the area and Roseville residents, as well and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce.
As you drive on the freeway, you cant help notice the large red icon for Roseville located in Sculpture Park which is also referred to as Olympus Point (sometimes). The official name of the big red structure is Cosmos. This hidden little park is off of North Sunrise Blvd and has .8 acres. Tsakopoulos, a well known Developer donated the land for this park and the sculpture to Roseville in 1990 which is a trailhead for the Miners Ravine bike trail. Local children in the area participated in a contest and those winners drawings are located in the part within 4 different grouping below the Cosmos.
Students living in Roseville attend either Dry Creek Jt Elem., Eureka Union Elem., Roseville City Elem., or Roseville Jt. Union High School District.

Roseville got its start from the railroad and was originally named Junction City but soon changed its name to Roseville. Rumor has it that it was named after the many roses that were growing in abundance or from a pretty girl named Rose who won the hearts of the locals. The Union Pacific still operates the largest switching service yard in the Western States, here.
Roseville is located just 16-18 miles north of Sacramento, off of Interstate 80 as well as Highway 65.

This is in large part why those living in Roseville are able to have a large supply of parks, playgrounds and activities. Moderately priced housing with mostly stucco and tile roofs are located here. There are a few gated communities in this area.

This weekend, April 20 thru April 22 is the Placer County Strawberry Festival in Roseville, CA. The Roseville Strawberry Festival is held at the Placer County Fairgrounds at 800 All American City Blvd. in Roseville, CA.
Guess what is featured? Yes, Strawberries tis the season! Can you hardly wait to taste Strawberry Shortcake, chocolate dipped Strawberries, Strawberry tea, Strawberry Margaritas and even Strawberry Beer. I even heard there is Strawberry Pizza Plus games, rides and contests and more. You can purchase tickets on-line or at the gate.
After a great morning receiving an offer on house I have listed, presenting the offer and countering…I was off to enjoy the last day of the Strawberry Festival held at the Placer County Fair Grounds behind the Roseville Police Dept.
The man to the right, is eating the last strawberry at the
Roseville Festival. By the time I got to the Roseville Festival at 2:00 pm…all the strawberries in flats were gone! No more strawberry shortcake to be had! I did try the strawberry beer but found it’s not for me…Oh well, there’s always next year! Come early, and eat all the strawberries…come late and you are S.O.L.
This year adding to the Classic Car Show will be a showcase of specialty motorcycles.

Roseville is an ever growing populated area located in Placer County and just 15 miles north of downtown Sacramento. It is split in half by Interstate 80 which tends to distinguish the pricing of the different areas. There is quite a mix of housing opportunities here in Roseville that has been well thought out by the city leaders.
In 2005, the state tallied 42,219 residential units, 31,010 single homes, 1,082 attached homes, 9,584 apartments and 543 mobile homes and growing. Roseville sports zip codes 95661, 95678 and 95747. The City shows its size by the the number of zip codes.
