Sacramento will be celebrating 4th of July 2008…all over the Sacramento County area with spectacular shows. In honor of our fallen heros and those serving our Country it only seems befitting for each of us to display the American flag at our homes. It would be great to see each home owner, apartment dweller and renter in Sacramento displaying our American flag.
This year with all the fires throughout our great state of California and having to breathe the smoke-filled air over the past few weeks, please let the professionals handle the fireworks. We don’t need any additional, accidental fires…
Below is a list of professional firework displays for your July 4th Celebration (for more detail information just click on the highlighted link for each City since several have all day events that would be fun to attend):

Ever wondered what some of the most expensive real estate for sale today looks like? Yes, outside of Sacramento Real Estate…let’s take a look at what other home buyers are looking at for fun.
You ask just who buys such expensive homes, estates and mansions? Business men looking for a getaway, International buyers wanting a second home and perhaps, you. Here is a glimpse at what Forbes recently acknowledged as America’s most expensive real estate.

$165 million Beverly Hills, CA
This is mega mansion was originally owned by Randolph Hearst on 6.5 acres, built in 1926 where The Godfather was filmed. With 29 bedrooms and 3 swimming pools along with a movie theater and an additional six buildings on the estate. What more could you ask when spending $165 million? photo is courtesy of Forbes

$125 million
Fleur de Lys, Beverly Hills, CA
With over 45,000 square feet this palace took 5 years to build. With a 50–seat screening room, library, nine car garage to tinker in with all your collectible cars and built to resemble the palace at Versailles, this is for the discriminating buyer. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$125 million
Dunnellen Hall, Greenwich, Conn
How about a 21,897 square foot mansion with 14 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms on 40 acres of rolling hills and an indoor 52 foot swimming pool? photo is courtesy of Forbes

$100 million
Tranquility, Lake Tahoe, Nev.
The co-founder of Tommy Hilfiger owns this jewel on 210 acres with 20,000 square feet to look like a Northern European mountain home. Would you like to have a 3,500 bottle wine cellar, an indoor swimming pool, an atrium and a 19 seat movie theater? Then this may be your next mansion. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$100 million
Maison de L’Amitie Palm Beach, Florida
Donald Trump just reduced the price of this spectacular palace by about $25 million dollars where it stands now at $100 mil, now that’s what I call a price reduction. When Donald bought this it was in bankruptcy and needed a bit of work.
He bought it in 2004 for a mere $41.25 million and has brought it back to a true palace with 103 rooms, a 100 foot ballroom, conservatory on 475 feet of ocean front property on 7 acres. A real steal at this price. The Donald even had an open house where he gave those arriving in Bentleys, Ferrai, Rolls Royce and more for a tour. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$95 million Hillandale
Stamford, Conn
As an English country manor this 20,000 square foot home has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Believe it or not this country home is so large it is both in New York and in Connecticut. With 4 guest houses, housing for staff and 2 barns along a 5 miles private road, you can boast that you live in 2 states at the same time. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$88 million
BootJack Ranch, Pagosa Springs, CO
Owned by a millionaire developer that made his money right here in Silicon Valley, CA. It only has 13,800 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths but it’s on 3,100 acres of prime land with streams along with guest cabins and lodges, not to mention the 12,000 square foot spa and aquatic center. Truly paradise with fishing in the summer and skiing in the winter for the next buyer looking for that get-a-way spot. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$85 million
Bel Air, CA
Architect Wallace Neff designed this estate which rests on 7 acres in the Holby Hills area of Bel Air. With 12 bedrooms, 10 baths, a hardcourt tennis court and pool as well as a giant central atrium with curving hallways and overlooks. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$80 million
Southhampton, NY
With 9 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and four powder rooms this 13,500 square foot 4 story home with a movie theater sits between a pond and the ocean on 1,000 feet of shorefront and a 1,00 feet of pond front. photo is courtesy of Forbes

$75 million
The Portabello Estate, Corona del Mar, CA
What a unique property located on the Pacific Ocean on a triple lot and resembles a nautilus shell. Built in 2002 with 8 bedrooms and 10 full baths this ultra modern home has approximately 30,000 square feet. photo is courtesy of Forbes If you would like to get started finding your own estate no matter how big or small, just give a call and let’s get started finding paradise for you whether it’s a 2nd home, a get-a-way or your primary residence. I’m ready if you are.

May 16th, 2008 categories: Fun Things, Land Park, Real Estate
Recently I was asked by a local artist to accompany her and several friends for lunch at the new Scotts Seafood on the River in South Land Park known as the Pocket in Sacramento.
It was actually the second time I had eaten at Scotts but I had not toured the hotel. I was honored to be asked and blown away by my friend’s talent.
I knew Claudia was an artist but had no idea the magnitude of her artist qualities until recently.
After being escorted in a white limo from Fretty’s Limousine Service and arriving to Scotts Seafood by the River for a delicious lunch and lady’s chat session we ventured over to the hotel side at Le Rivage. With the artist in tow we were all mesmerized by her enormous painting of the Goddess of the River in the lobby of Le Rivage.
We have one of our very own here in Sacramento that is of notoriety. And isn’t it nice to find a local artist that brings such talent to our community.
Claudia Iudice, artist and friend as well as 55 year resident of Sacramento living in Curtis Park was commissioned by Bob Leach, the builder of Le Rivage Hotel in Land Park on the River to paint several large River scenes for display in the hotel.
Claudia, known as “Carrie” is featured throughout the hotel with many life size paintings. She is also a docent at Crocker Museum and has been featured at many of Sacramento Art shows and galleries.
Land Park has a golden secret on the River at Le Rivage hotel. They are to be commended for show casing local talent like Claudia Iudice.
I highly recommend an evening at Scotts for fine dining in a wonderful atmosphere by the Sacramento River and then a luxury stay at the newly appointed Le Rivage Hotel where Luxury is second nature and Art abounds.
The Land Park and Pocket area of Sacramento is a beautiful area with wonderful homes and great neighborhoods. Land Park is a real estate dream come true now with this exquisite facility for all of us to enjoy.
Here is just a taste of the artwork by Claudia that you will see while staying or visiting at Le Rivage Hotel.

What a great time we had arriving in a stretch limo, having lunch at Scotts and then given a royal tour of the hotel.
Each room in the hotel exhibits original photography taken by the owners on their travels.
It was a privilege to be included in such a wonderful day with such inspiring friends.
Enjoy the videos of our tour at Le Rivage Hotel by the River.
So, if you have an anniversary coming up, live in the neighborhood and wondered what the new place is like, or moving to Sacramento and need a place to stay, by all means Le Rivage will not disappoint you.
Now, if you would like to view homes in the Land Park area and Pocket area for sale please click on Land Park MLS.
There is plenty of real estate and homes for sale in the Land Park and Pocket area to fit all home buyers budget plans. Give me a call, I’d be happy to show you what this great area of Sacramento has to offer.

Many times as Realtors we get very interesting questions and situations, today was no exception.
I received a call from a cast member of the Broadway show of Phantom of the Opera asking for assistance in finding a furnished condo downtown Sacramento from May 18th thru June 15th.
This cast member would also consider renting a room in the downtown Sacramento area. She wants to stay as close as possible to the Theater Downtown. This is a chance for Sacramento to roll out the welcome mat. I need your help.
So, I’m putting out to our readers to help find this actress a place to stay and give a warm Sacramento welcome.
There are many condos for sale in Sacramento as well as homes for sale in Downtown Sacramento. This would be an opportunity for a home or condo seller to make a little money and rent your home or condo for a month. The best part is getting to know a little bit more about someone visiting our Sacramento area who just happens to be an actress.
This touring cast member would like to stay within 2 miles of the theater Downtown Sacramento. She performs evenings and weekends and is active during the day exploring the adopted City she is in, Sacramento.
While touring with the cast of The Phantom of the Opera she has stayed with many families and has had wonderful experiences. If needed, she can supply references from her employer as well as the families she has stayed with while touring.
If you happen to live Downtown Sacramento and would be interested renting a room to this lovely lady, send me an email or call me at 916.417.2699. I’d love to hook the two of you up.
Phantom of the Opera starts May 21 and runs thru June 14 at the Sacramento Community Theater at 1400 J Street. I’ve seen it and it’s fantastic so make sure you go on-line and get your tickets before it’s all sold out.
Just a quick note to remind everyone that every Friday at Cesar Chavez Plaza in Downtown Sacramento there are live bands and a chance to meet new people. It is kid friendly and a fun time had by all. This is a time for Concert in the Park from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm free to all.
Each Wednesday it’s Farmer’s Market from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Cesar Chavez Park through October. Come support our local growers and buy some unprocessed food at 10th and J Street.

April 25th, 2008 categories: Fun Things, Sacramento
Sacramento is a great place to live with plenty of
fun things to do in and around the Sacramento areas.
Many are new comers to the Sacramento region and recently relocated to our area.
In fact, one of my new home buyers that I spoke to last night has moved here from Colorado so here are a few fun places to go this weekend for all those who have are relocating to the surrounding Sacramento areas.
With fabulous weather this weekend in the 80s, the place not to miss is the annual Stockton Asparagus Festival. Whether you like asparagus or not, dont miss this great fun event. It starts today,
Friday, April 25, 2007 from 10:00 am-7 pm
Saturday, April 26, 10 am-7 pm
Sunday, April 27, 2007 10am-7 pm
Tons to do, see, hear and taste. If youve never been, you should plan on it this weekend. Learn about how asparagus grows and how much land it takes to grow this wonderful vegetable. It is a plant that we may see in extension since many growers are surrendering their land to grow corn.
For those new to our Sacramento area, Stockton is south of Sacramento just 45 minutes away. Click to see a map of the Stockton Asparagus Festival
Dont forget the Spring Home and Garden Show in El Dorado County to get ideas to help sell your house, Sellers. This is a great opportunity to gather some inspiration whether putting your home on the real estate market or fixing up and maintaining your home.
El Dorado County is holding the Spring Home and Garden Show today, April 25, 2007 from noon till 8 pm
through April 27th from 10 am until 5:00 pm at the Fairgrounds. This is a great place to go and pick-up some spectacular redecorating tips for your home as well as learning how to make the outside of your house be more inviting and fun. Check out the Spring Home and Garden Show off Hwy 50, exit Placerville Dr.
Its fun to learn new things to make your home sparkle and shine. Whether you are thinking of selling your house and needing ideas to help give it that certain edge or just wanting to have a new look and modernize what your currently own. This is a place to go and get those great ideas for your home.
Have fun, enjoy the great weather and dont forget your sun screen.
As always, you are free to view homes for sale on my free MLS and please give me a call if you would like me to represent you when buying or selling a house or condo.

March 21st, 2008 categories: Fun Things, Home Buyer, Sacramento
A couple of very important surprises have been uncovered this week. Sacramento Real Estate Voice will reveal this GREAT surprise! Read on.
Cant believe how fast Easter has come this year Happy Easter!
Sacramento has so many new blessings to be thankful for.
As many of you know, my Sacramento home buyers and home sellers become my friends and circle of family.
Real Estate is not just about the commission, its about helping people find just the right place to make lasting memories.
Real Estate is more than just putting a sign in front of the house for sale. Real Estate is more than just finding a house for a home buyer.
If this mess in Real Estate right now with foreclosures and short sales hasnt taught everyone that there is more to REAL Estate, nothing ever will. Its important who you decide to work with trust, integrity and character along with experience will serve each and every real estate home buyer and seller well.
My home buyers and home sellers are not part of this mess. Instead, my home buyers in Sacramento, Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Rancho Murieta, Wilton, Roseville, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Lincoln, Auburn and El Dorado Hills, Davis, and West Sacramento all know that they received good loans from a reputable Mortgage Lender and dont use their homes as an ATM machine. They are responsible homeowners who also understand the importance of credit score.
Are you waiting for the Surprise???? Ok, here we go.
Now, for some great news that I received this week from two of my previous First Time Home Buyersand repeat home buyer and home seller who are now homeowners. First, starting in order of sequence..maybe not.
Great news, from these two young couples
that announced this week that Jacob asked Tabitha to marry him and Tabitha said, yes!
I wish both of you the very best and WOW bling, bling, bling
Jacob, what a ring you were saving up for this one for a long time!
This couple, understands budgeting and finance so they will have an excellent future ahead of them and be able to focus on making many new memories in their new home.
Congratulations to both of you. Tabitha and Jacob I am looking forward to the wedding and wish you both the very best always
What a week, Ive had such wonderful news from my previous first time home buyers repeat home buyers and home sellers who are responsible homeowners.
Couldnt believe my eyes when Erin told me that she and Mike were expecting TWINS. WOW as she said and I repeated
SHUT UP! This is such great news. Now, there will be 3 boys in the family. And what a great family they are.
I attended their wedding, previous baby shower for Dominic and have known this family for quite some time. They are a most remarkable family and now growing bigger, quickly.
Double Congratulations are in order here!
And when you are ready to sell your house and get a bigger one for this growing family of yours, just give me a heads up.
Can you see both of these boysin the above sonogram? Head to head how cool is that? Such a miracle! Can’t wait for the BIG event and what an event this will be!
And if that wasn’t enough good news… there’s little or should I say BIG 8 lbs 2.9 ounces of Emma Victoria. Just another proud moment for Jen and Dan with big brother, Noah watching. Welcome to your new home Emma. I’ll be coming over to see you, soon.
Yes, these are wonderful previous first time home buyers and home sellers, which are now homeowners as well as good friends, now. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life and in my business career. So, yes all is well with Sacramento Real Estate and Elk Grove Real Estate, too.
As you can see, there is plenty of good news out there in Sacramento and in Real Estate homes are selling and many are receiving multiple offers. If you missed the neighborhood Sacramento County real estate stats for February check them out. Interest rates are low and FHA has increased the availability of the purchase power by extending loan limits for buying homes.
The loan limit in the Sacramento County, Placer and El Dorado County areas for a FHA mortgage loan was $362,790 and now has been extended to $417,001. This translates to more home buyers that qualify being able to buy a house in Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado County.
Of course there are stipulations with any loan and you must be approved prior to buying a house. But then again, anyone reading Sacramento Real Estate Voice already knows that getting mortgage loan approval BEFORE looking at homes for sale is the responsible and smart way to buy a house.
Just a quick note to wish each of you a Happy Easter, Happy Spring and Happy Home Ownership
If you happen to know of any other Easter Egg hunts in the area, please comment below for other readers. Thank you.

The Tour of California is arriving in Downtown Sacramento today. Once again we are hosting these great athletes right in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. The race begins in Santa Rosa around 10:00 am and we should be expecting to see those fast turning wheels approaching the state capitol around 2:30 pm.
What a thrill to witness and be a part of the Amgen Tour of California but if thats not possible you can view the video, a course map and the standings on the their website. There are road closures tomorrow in the Downtown area as these bikers cross the Tower Bridge traveling down Capitol Mall and finish Stage 2.
Hope this link to news10 Towercams will be working to capture the bikers as they approach the capitol.
All sights will be watching Sacramento Capitol Mall
to see who will finish first. While Downtown you might as well enjoy some of the great restaurants and museums at our state capitol. Make it a fun day and enjoy the sights.
Midtown Sacramento and Downtown Sacramento have the best seats or at least are within walking distance to watch the blur of this great race.
Downtown Sacramento with its new condos, modern lofts and contemporary townhouses, Poverty Hill with the Victorian homes and Midtown Sacramento with its Craftsman bungalows and cottages for sale will mark the Stage 2 for the 2008 Tour of California.
If you happen to be Downtown Sacramento or in Midtown Sacramento be sure to have a tasty treat at Ricks Dessert Diner on K Street.
A recent home buyer of mine treated me to a scrumptious dinner Downtown and then to Ricks for a decant dessert. I highly recommend it. You will be amazed at the variety and the decor. Take a trip back on memory lane when you go to Ricks.
Do you have a favorite place to eat Downtown Sacramento or in Midtown? Real Estate in Midtown is alive and well. There are some beautiful homes and depending on whether you are a home buyer or looking to buy a condo, townhouse or loft.

I love Real Estate and love working with home buyers and home sellers in the Sacramento and surrounding neighborhood areas.
Valentines Day can be a very inspiring day, a day for love and friendship.
A day to be thankful for all we have.
Today, I would like very much to thank all those that read my blog articles and have been so supportive.
The home buyers and sellers that I have helped through the years are a true testament of friendship. I feel very blessed to have the quality people in my life that came as first time home buyers, those who moved and relocated from out of state, investors and of course sellers and those that purchased their 2nd and 3rd homes from me. Let me not forget the parents who also bought condos and homes for their sons and daughters while attending college.
Yes, a big thank you to my past clients who now have a home in Elk Grove, Fair Oaks, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Greenhaven, Rancho Cordova, Carmichael, Curtis Park, Land Park, McKinley Park, East Sac, Fab 40s, River Park, Downtown and Midtown Sacramento, West Sacramento, Natomas, Arden, Rancho Murieta, Wilton, Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay and Auburn, CA. I hope I didnt miss anyone.
It has been a pleasure to work with each of you and keep in touch with you all through the years. Thank you for being you and the friendship that each of you has extended.
Happy Valentines Day
Now, for the secret
Have you ever heard of the Nimbus Winery?
It is just off of hwy 50 east of Downtown Sacramento at the Hazel Ave exit between Folsom and Rancho Cordova. Your first thought is that it is a winery WRONG! It used to be but not anymore. The best kept secret is that there is the greatest little dinner theatre there. It is called Garbeaus Dinner Theatre, check out their website.
I Love You, Youre Perfect, Now Change is currently playing through February 17th. Garbeaus offers comedy club, the 1st Tuesday each month and New Orleans style cooking with jazz on Thursdays.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised and wont want to miss each performance. There is something for everyone, here. And the food is good, too!
I accidently found Nimbus Winery one day when meeting new home buyers coming from the San Jose area to find a house for sale in Folsom. While waiting for them to arrive, I had ample time to check out the Nimbus Winery and was surprised to find the best kept secret in Sacramento.
If you know of a special, secret place and want to share just comment below.
By the way, let me know what you think of Garbeaus Dinner Theatre. Id love to hear your oponion.
