Midtown Living in Downtown Sacramento

R Street Market Mid TownMidtown is the heartbeat of Sacramento. Located in the Sacramento Downtown area bordered by the American River on the north, Highway 50 on the south, the Sacramento River on the west and Business 80 on the east.

If you want to live in an area with Victorian homes, Craftsman bungalows, cozy cottages and splattered about with new condos, modern lofts and contemporary townhomes with a cosmopolitan air about it, Midtown is the place for you. Midtown is draped with big beautiful canopy trees lining the wide boulevard streets and within walking distance to everything imaginable.

Restaurants of every flavor, cafes, art studios, night life, parks and light rail are all within walking distance which is why you see everyone walking and or biking about Midtown.

Art is EVERYWHERE in Midtown, be sure to check out the R Street Market and see the sculpture that was presented made out of old bumpers what an exquisite display of artBumper Sculpture mid town. You cant help but marvel at this exquisite horse while doing her grocery shopping.

Many of those that moved out to the suburbs are finding their way back to Midtown for an easy life with less of a commute. Its a friendly sidewalk area where neighbors meet neighbors no matter which street they happen to live on.

With the big old fashion front porches it is common place to see gatherings of neighbors meeting to talk over the weeks happenings and get to know one another.

In Midtown there is an Art Walk every second Saturday of the month the galleries host an open house evening starting at 6 pm until 9 pm.

On the second Sunday of every month from 6:30 am to 3 pm is the Sacramento Antique Faire between W & X Street on 21st Street. I could go on and on since there is always something happening in Midtown

What about rentals? I am temporarily relocating to the area and am an urban guy. Interested in both unfurnished and furnished, need a garage. Any thoughts?
