YES, The California Cow is a Happy Cow! And now, the dairy farmers are happy, too! It seems that we can now call our “happy California Cows”, “happy California Green Cows.” PG & E as well as SMUD due to Government regulations have been mandated to reduce their toxic admissions into the California environment and have come up with a marvelous plan that some ranchers have been accomplishing for awhile now. That is that these companies will use the manure to make electricity. It takes two cows to supply one household with electricity for a year. With the plans in the pipework, 100,000 families will be obtaining their electricity from our “happy California GREEN cows.” Now, isn’t that a plan! Elk Grove Dairy farmers are using their cows to make electricity, too. So, we have “Happy Elk Grove California Cows!”
You may not realize, or maybe you do, that Roseville, California has been bringing wind and solar energy to some of their homeowners and businesses known as the “Green Roseville” program. Home builder, Lennar is selling new homes in West Roseville, CA with customized solar power ranging in price from mid $500,000 to mid $700,000. These homes generate 50% of the energy used with solar energy. A builder who is embracing our environment with a “green home.” It is always a good idea to have a Realtor represent a buyer in the purchase of a new home instead of relying on the builder to represent you, so give me a call.
Want to know more about who is “E” friendly besides the California Cow, PG & E, SMUD, Roseville and Lennar?
Have you heard about the e-transportation bus in Elk Grove? This is just another indication that our City Planners in Elk Grove, CA are actively and responsibly finding new ways to cut down on our toxic emission gases that are polluting our air. Elk Grove, California also implemented an “e-toxic waste” program where free disposal of batteries and cell phones can be disposed of at local merchants in a tube display. These items are toxic and should not be placed in trash cans since they end up in our landfill. Also, Elk Grove provides free curb pick-up on trash day for used oil to be disposed of as long as it is placed in the proper container. Read the official City of Elk Grove’s website for specific information on the container. We don’t need oil running down the curbs into our streams and local creeks. With all of the natural habitats in place in Elk Grove, it’s important for each of us to do our share in keeping the plants, animals, wildlife, neighbors and children safe. Won’t you do your part and help Elk Grove, California with their “Green Care?”
And then there’s hydrogen fuel cell cars developed in West Sacramento. Although these group of talented people produced and sold fueled cell cars throughout the U.S. and other countries, they are continually working to make and produce better efficiency running environmentally “e-friendly” vehicles. If you are interested in knowing where the fuel stations are for these vehicles, be sure to click here for the Northern and Southern California map to fuel up. Much work is still required to develop a free emission vehicle to get away from the fuel consumption and poor air quality that is emitted by using our current fuel, engineers are at work to supply us all with better running vehicles that are “e-atmospheric Green.” West Sacramento California, just off hwy 5 and interstate 80 is the hub bub of the world working right there on the Sacramento Delta for the betterment of mankind.
Our area in and around the Sacramento area has so many great people working together to provide our neighborhoods, our Cities, our State and the Nation with an ecological friendly atmosphere. It is a pleasure to live in such a wonderful area that considers what we are doing to our environment and helps to find ways for each of us to live, work, drive and bring up our families in a better place. These are just a few of the many “e-friendly” facets that I know of around Elk Grove, Roseville, Sacramento and West Sacramento areas. Perhaps, you know of something in your area that is addressing how we can all live better, use less energy and emit less toxins into our air.
Let me know and I will be happy to feature your community and their efforts toward a great cause.
