Now, for parents looking for a tree, theres nothing better and no better place than Apple Hill to get your Christmas tree with over 50 farms and lots of fruit to eat while you are there.
Dont forget to pick up an apple pie, they are my favorite and ohhhhhhhhhh so good!
Need help decorating the house and/or the tree? Did you know that there is an actual service that installs your lights and decorations and they insure that they will keep them working properly and take the decorations down. Whether you know what you want or have no idea, Shawn Romias website says he has great decorating ideas. Christmas lights have been the cause of many an argument you may want to give this man a call. Here is a fun Christmas link, as my gift to you.
Grass Valley and Nevada City have great holiday shopping with quaint Victorian shops and carolers dressed in period costumes help to bring the spirit of the holiday season alive.
Channel 10 is collecting coats for Kids during this holiday season again. Click here and see what you can get if you donate a coat for the kids.
Do you like to ice skate? Check out the downtown rink, Westfield Downtown Plaza Ice Rink ( 2 hours for $6 and skates $2) open until January 15, 2007 While downtown why not take in the IMAX theater. I haven’t been but I hear its wonderful. You can reserve your tickets on-line as well as your seat for this 3“D experience. On December 22 Happy Feet will be presented and Polar Express is now on.
Want a little something adult and out of the ordinary, check out the Delta King in Old Sac where Every Christmas Story Ever Told a holiday pun on the old traditional stand-bys that is hilarious. Check out Dove Court and Stanford Ranch for some excellent Christmas lights that have great participation of the neighborhood and each house takes on a theme. This is in Rocklin.

If you are traveling on an airline over the holidays, here is a quick link to the Transportation Security Information site where you can print and view the guidelines that are enforced when flying. Be sure to check it out before packing so that you limit the amount of stress involved in flying.
Don’t forget if you need to mail gifts within the United Sates to arrive for Christmas, make sure that you mail them by December 14th.
Mailing overseas to someone in the military had a deadline of November 13 but for more money it is still possible all the way up to December 19th.
Are you a skier? Be sure to check out Boreal with 380 acres to ski on - $38/day and just 80 miles from Sacramento. They have some Family offerings. Or ski Diamond Peak, one of Tahoe’s top family resorts for $46/day.
