Elk Grove officially became a City in 2000. Elk Grove is a city and is also in the Sacramento County area. Very little housing a few years ago was in Elk Grove as compared to today…a real boom took place over the past six years.
In fact, I believe that I officially heard that Elk Grove was the fastest growing City in the United States which certainly wouldn’t surprise any of the residents here. Back in the day, there was only one stop sign in town with wide open spaces. But, things have changed, the boom has blossomed and Elk Grove is becoming quite the metropolitan area.
